Dr Martín Moran's wines win recognition in Australia

Mordrelle Wines, the Adelaide Hills winery of the Mendoza-born agronomist, was named among Australia's best by Halliday Wine Companion and differentdrop.com.
The Network congratulates Dr Martín Moran, who turned his scientific expertise into his passion and makes wine in South Australia at his own winery, Mordrelle Wines.
In late 2023 his wines were shortlisted among Australia's 12 "Best Value Wineries" and among the Top 100 Wineries selected by Campbell Mattinson for the Halliday Wine Companion. differentdrop.com also named Mordrelle its 2023 "Breakout Winery", highlighting its South Australian Reserve Malbec.
Martín studied agronomy at the National University of Cuyo and completed his PhD at the University of Adelaide. His winery is in the Adelaide Hills, and during his doctorate his wines and research won awards for his work on pruning time to maintain wine quality under rising temperatures (Impact of late pruning and elevated ambient temperature on Shiraz wine chemical and sensory attributes, Australian Journal of Grape and Wine Research 27: 42–51).
Congratulations, Martín — and cheers!
