Agrifood Webinar: the future of plant protein in Australia and Argentina

The Argentine Embassy in Australia and the Network of Argentine Scientists in Australia invite you to the webinar "Plant proteins: exploring opportunities for public–private collaborative development", part of the Agrifood webinar series they organise together.

The aim is to identify research capabilities, investment opportunities and bilateral initiatives between Argentine and Australian companies and institutions in the agrifood sector. The webinar also seeks to (i) provide a space for sharing knowledge and experience among agribusiness players in both countries, with an emphasis on plant proteins, and (ii) build connections that strengthen agricultural and agrifood development and contribute to the sustainable development of both economies.

Speakers

• Dr Maria Saarela will share the latest developments in plant proteins and how SARDI's research can contribute to agrifood science in this field.
• Agustín Belloso will talk about his experience as an investor and entrepreneur in the plant-protein market in Argentina and Latin America, and the work of Tomorrow Foods.
• Dr Xavier Sirault leads research aligned with CSIRO's Future Protein Mission; he will present artificial-intelligence infrastructure for plant-protein ingredient innovation that will help Australia produce food more efficiently.
